Bio
Troy Scott was born in Edmond, Oklahoma and raised in the metro
area. He has over twenty years of experience as a professional
artist and performer. Troy appears across the state and around the
country as the Living Bronze Cowboy Statue.
Troy lived and worked in San Antonio, Texas for ten years,
performing with the San Antonio Children’s museum,  Fiesta Texas,
SeaWorld, the San Antonio Spurs, Klank!, Artistic Children’s
Theatre, the Witte Museum and on the Paseo Del Rio. He has
performed locally with Frontier City, Theatre Upon a Star Dance
Swan, PseudoDance, Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park, The
Centennial Commission, The National Cowboy and Western Heritage
Museum, IAO, Untitled[artspace], The Oklahoma History Museum
and various arts festivals. He has appeared on television both
nationally and abroad and has been featured in OETA’s art
documentary program, “Gallery” and Galen Culver’s KFOR news
segment “Is this a Great State or What?”

Smiley O'Riley
Troy Scott currently performs in free school shows representing
Dental Depot as Smiley O'Riley, the clown conductor. These 30
minute shows emphasize good oral hygiene and the importance of
brushing, flossing, healthy eating and visiting the dentist. Each
child is given a new toothbrush and fun materials designed to
reinforce good habits.

Additional Skills
As a visual artist, Troy creates caricatures, scenic art, portraits,
body art, F/X make-up and more.
Troy writes and choreographs original routines, designs and creates
his own props and costumes, and performs as an actor, balloon
artist, clown, magician, juggler, stilt-walker, mime, puppeteer, and
storyteller.

In his art and performance workshops, Troy emphasizes creative
interaction, confidence and showmanship. In all of his workshops,
students are encouraged to actively learn through experimentation
and observation while drawing upon their own experience and
imagination.

Clowns Are Kinda Funny! (30 minutes)
Comedy stage show.

This high-energy program featuring Troy Scott includes physical
routines, juggling, magic, balloons and audience participation.
Educational aspects include clown history and relating performance
skills to life skills. Make-up is applied in the show so that the
audience can see and understand the process.

Requirements:

      10' x 10' Performance space


Clown Classes      
size/grade: up to 25 students, 5 yrs and up

Students will learn basic styles of clown make-up and how to use
greasepaint to accentuate their features and expression. Each
student may receive their own make-up kit to keep. Students will
also explore juggling, magic, balloon-twisting and physical comedy.
Lessons concentrate on physical coordination, self-confidence,
communication, teamwork, choreography, and creativity.

This course may be taught in your place of learning or in my Paseo
studio.
